Our second tournament of the year was the South Haven Steelheaders Pro/Am held in South Haven, Michigan. This tournament is one of the smallest on the trail but is a great stopping point on the way from St Joseph to Grand Haven and is a fun event to be a part of. We spent the week at the Southside Municipal Marina right on the river which presented a nice location but a challenging place to try to sleep as the surge from the waves working down the channel were rocking the boat hard. |

The team boat fully loaded and ready to go tied up at West Basin Marina in St Joe, MI Our first tournament is in the record books and we have already moved the team boat to South Haven, MI for our second tournament for 2007. We competed in the Southwest Michigan Steelheaders Summer Challenge which was held on Friday and Saturday (May 11-12th, 2007). This was our first tournament of the season and the first time we have fished together since we reconfigured the team boat with all of our new gear. We are getting used to all of it but despite all new equipment we performed well for our first tournament out as the fishing heated up in St Joseph, Michigan as the water temps warmed and the fish moved in. The tournament format for the Pro Division was catch 15 weigh the best twelve - 10 pts. per fish plus a point per pound - 10 bonus points for each tour caught with a max of 30 points for 3 trout. |

Team EO is floating and running and getting ready for the 2007 season, but most importantly we have our fishing platform wired and installed with only a few tweaks to make. As shown in the picture and the gallery below we have installed our Cannon Mag 20 DT/TS downriggers and have them wired for control with our Humminbird 997 Fishing System.
Our through-gunwale installation makes for an attractive and very functional implementation which will allow us to quickly remove and install different Cannon models without affecting the layout of the boat. Click on any of the pictures below for larger images that will allow you to view more detail. If these riggers were permanent mounts we would have Cannon service shorten the rigger power cables, but instead we coiled the cords and zip tied them for a cleaner and more manageable install. |

More decals went on today and we're just about finished for the 2007 season. Looks like the remainder will have to be applied dock side while we are floating. We added the custom captgarys.com made in gold overlayed on black - very sharp. We also added the unmistakable Fuzzy Bear Lures logo which was custom made for the boat. This also done in black with gold accents meant to match the Tiara boot stripe combination. So our Dreamweaver spread is complete. |

Boat preparation is ongoing but finally coming to a close for the 2007 season. With the partnership with new sponsors this year we bascially have reconfigured our boat. First order of business was getting the Cannon and Humminbird product installed on the boat and fully integrated. Because of our through gunwale wiring technique we had to do some serious planning for this and work in conjunction with a number of sponsors to make it happen the way we wanted. |
